Scripture Memory

scripture memory

Generally speaking, scripture memory is super difficult for me. This has been (and will probably always be) a ongoing challenge, whereas my husband can recite lines from obscure 80s movies and old Seinfeld episodes, I choke when it comes to reciting anything.

Our ladies’ Bible study group is studying Elyse Fitzpatrick‘s Idols of the Heart (a very good book, by the way!). One of the scriptures mentioned in this week’s study is Psalm 42:1-2. I’m trying to devote that to memory:

As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God.
My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?
Psalm 42:1-2

Oh, that this Scripture would become the prayer of my heart.

Welcome to My Blog!

Welcome to my blog.

Hi, everyone. It’s Friday afternoon and my daughter is napping. I’ve decided to enter the world of “blogging.” Unfortunately, I don’t have anything very insightful to say today.

I’ve had a very ordinary day in the life of a stay-at-home mom: breakfast, cleaning, lunch, and a Wiggles video.

I do hope this space will become a place where I can organize my thoughts and share observations with you.
