Mary Bernard has been a communications professional for more than two decades. She has a wide range of professional experiences in journalism, public relations, publishing, social media, marketing, curriculum creation, and English education.
She has worked on numerous editing, writing, and brand management projects for both print and online products, including those from Thomas Nelson, Howard Books, the Adrian Rogers Pastor Training Institute, Abingdon fiction, and Abingdon youth. Mary wrote Clothed in Christ (Abingdon Press) and has been a regular contributor to Cokesbury’s Bible Lessons for Youth and LinC: Living in Christ.
Mary has a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and a master of education degree in curriculum and instruction. Her work has been published in Twins magazine and online at The Work at Home Woman and Faithful Bloggers. Mary blogs at The Writer’s Block at where she writes on the trials and triumphs of navigating the 21st century as a Christian mother of three (including twin boys). Her blog was chosen to participate in a social media campaign to promote the ABC-TV daytime show, The View. Mary was also selected from hundreds of applicants nationwide as one of sixty bloggers to participate in the Savvy Blogging Summit, a small professional development conference, held in 2010.
The Bernards live in Nashville with their Bijon/ShihTzu, Zoe.
